Mary was a dedicated teacher for thirty years at Sherman Central School and 4 years at Jamestown Community College before retiring. She was a community-driven and dedicated member of CASA, St. Isaac Joques RC Church, Psalmody, the Theta Beta Sorority and Beta Sigma Phi (national). Mary was always graced with a smile and gentle demeanor. She always put others needs before her own and humbly minimized her 29 year battle with breast cancer with courage and strength. Mary will be remembered for her commitment and dedication to her family and the children of her community. Her legacy will continue to make a difference in the lives of the children in our community.

Mary was a living embodiment of everything CASA stands for.

A Mary Rogers Heart of CASA Memorial Fund has been established in her honor. The fund will support children's educational and extracurricular needs for those who may not have means or resources. The fund will provide children in grades K-12 with funds for educational resources, registrations, lessons, equipment, yearbooks, school outings and more.
